Chris Brown Apologizes and Rihanna Photo Emerges Online

Reuters reports that Chris Brown, arrested last week for allegedly attacking pop singer Rihanna, has issued a statement regarding the incident:

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired," he said. "I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."

Brown also said in his statement that much of what has been written on blogs and reported in the media is incorrect, and they he has not made any posts to Facebook or written messages on blogs.

Meanwhile, a source close to the singer Rihanna, claims she is appalled by Chris Brown's apology and saying the singer is in no mood to forgive and forget. "All of us, including Rihanna, don't understand how he can say he's sorry on the one hand, but still ... does not admit any guilt," a source tells the Chicago Sun Times.

This undated photo provided by TMZ of pop star Rihanna was according to TMZ, "taken after Chris Brown allegedly beat her." Rihanna was reportedly involved in a domestic dispute with boyfriend Chris Brown last week that resulted in his arrest and booking on charges of making criminal threats. A police statement said the woman who reported the incident was injured, and identified Brown as her attacker. Charges have not yet been filed, and neither Brown nor Rihanna has come forth to comment on the incident.
