Escaping the Heat (Part IV)

Taipei 101

Outside of Taipei 101

Inside Taipei 101

Views from 89th Floor. Each adult ticket cost TWD400 (RM43). Too bad the outdoor observation deck was closed that day due to bad weather. Imagine standing outside of the building at 88th Floor. How cool is that ? ;P

My TWD200 (RM21.50) ice-cream. Sold at 89th Floor.

The 660 tonnes suspended tuned mass damper located between 88th - 92nd Floors. It is designed to withstand the typhoon winds and earthquake tremors.

My lunch at the Taipei 101 food court. Forgot what it's called already. All for TWD120 (RM12.90) only. Everything tasted nice except the 肉丸, or what the locals call "bak wan".

Shinkong Mitsukoshi (新光三越) Department Store. It is a Taiwanese-Japanese joint-venture department store in Taiwan. There are 4 buildings in this area, all connected by several bridges.
