Malays of old used to advise their young not to boast or brag or hurt the feelings of people. However, now, many of us are united with the People of the Middle East in branging of their might to wipe out Israel from the world map.
Recently, they boasted of burying Israeli soldiers in Gaza City, and whenever television announcers mention the world Israel or America, it is often coupled with the most contemptuous epithets.
The is also a Malay proverb, mulut cupar, besar padahnya or kerana mulut badan binasa. It means "mind your language lest you pay heavilly".
Now, some Malaysians are demanding the government boycott goods from America. If they do, the first to suffer is roti canai eaters because the flour comes mostly from the US.
Secondly, all hospitals, including the National Heart Institute (IJN), will be rendered useless because almost all aparatus and medicine are from America. Our national carrier, Malaysia Airlines would have to ground about 3/4 of its fleet as 65 of the planes Malaysia Airlines are operating now are Boeing planes.
Imagine if all the US giant conglomerates such as Dell, KFC, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Burger King, ExxonMobil, Citibank, Intel, AMD (just to name a few) withdraw their business from Malaysia, just how many Malaysians will be left with no job ? Silly silly silly !!
