I took some pictures on my last trip to Kuala Lumpur. Pardon the quality of some of the pictures. Some were taken inflight while some at the brand new Kota Kinabalu International Airport departure lounge. As you can see, it was a full flight. About 30% of the passengers on board were Japanese. The flight code is MH080, from KUL-BKI-NRT (Kuala Lumpur - Kota Kinabalu - Tokyo). This flight is operated by MAS B777-200ER and it has a seating capacity of 282 (35 in Business and 247 in Coach). MAS flight MH080 originates from Kuala Lumpur and will transit in Kota Kinabalu for an hour before departing to Tokyo.
A Korean Air B747-400 was spotted at Kota Kinabalu International airport when my plane arrived from Kuala Lumpur on 18 April 2008. My plane from Kuala Lumpur came in late by 40 minutes that day, otherwise i will be able to catch two Korean Air B747-400 that morning at Kota Kinabalu International Airport. These Korean Air flights were chartered by ING Insurance Company, South Korea. I believe it was some sort of incentive flight. Just two years ago (year 2006), it was MetLife Insurance Company, South Korea that chartered a total of 18 Korean Air flights to Kota Kinabalu from the South Korean capital, Seoul.
